We wanted to thank everyone at Eye Specialists for their kindness. I was so nervous having to have cataract surgery because I have never been through that before, knowing I had to have both eyes done was intense for me. But, with all the attention and concern I was very relaxed and not a bit worried. Everyone was smiling and laughing and it made the two of us extremely comfortable. Dr. Daniel Welch and Dr. Damon Welch were wonderful and very patient explaining everything to me. I appreciated that so much. When I went in for the surgery the staff was so pleasant and that made me not a bit nervous. I was treated so nice and they constantly asked me if I was alright and if I needed anything. Dr. Lin is hands-down the best retinal specialist in the area and beyond. My husband has been receiving injections for macular degeneration since Dec of 2022 and has significant improvement in his vision but beyond the get treatment, her way with patients and bedside manners are impeccable. 10 out of 10 recommend!!!

I recently moved to the area and have seen Dr. Sankar and her staff regarding my eyes a few times. Each appt has been awesome! Everyone is friendly and nice. Dr. Sankar is super knowledgeable about the eyes and explains everything in detail, which I appreciated than a “looks good”. I had blended cataract surgery done on my eyes at the Sebring office. Dr. Welch did a great job, after the surgery there weren’t any problems and my vision is fantastic. My husband had cataract surgery by Dr. Welch last week. He had only one good eye and the cataract prevented him from driving. I haven’t had anything close to 20/20 vision since I was – maybe – six years old. THANK YOU to Eye Specialists of Mid Florida for making me see like I was “young” again! Second cataract surgery was Tuesday, and when they did the follow up Thursday, I was within a hair of 20/20 vision without glasses or contacts. The staff was thorough (almost to to a fault) in making sure all the needed measurements were done, and by the time I got through both surgeries I felt like I’d made a dozen new friends. That includes both Drs. Welch, who actually listened to what I needed, discussed my options and treated me like a great medical practice should … like a customer!
You get the feeling at many doctors’ offices that you somehow should feel “privileged” to have them see you. I value, honor and respect the long years of education and experience all medical professionals possess, but in the final analysis the word “patient” is a synonym for “customer,” and when a quality practice makes you feel appreciated as well as properly and expertly treated, they deserve a special level of respect and loyalty.
