What is LASIK?

What are the benefits of LASIK?
LASIK is able to correct many levels of myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), and astigmatism. These corrections can be treated to effectively reduce your dependency on eye glasses and contacts.
Is LASIK Surgery Painful?
LASIK surgery is often painless and will take less than 30 minutes. During the surgery you may feel some pressure on your eye. After surgery you may experience your eye feeling irritated or itching after the procedure and may water however by not rubbing or touching your eye and using the eye drops directed by your doctor these symptoms will soon pass.
If I would like to have LASIK Surgery what do I do?
If you would like to find out if you’re a candidate for LASIK your first call should be to our toll free number at 800-282-3937 and ask for our Vision Coordinator. Our coordinator will then ask you some questions and schedule you for your free LASIK consultation. At this consultation we will review your vision records and move forward accordingly, however the final determination to be a candidate for LASIK is will be made by the doctor following an examination.
